About Me
Hello! I'm Natalie,
I’ve always known I’d work in a creative field, it’s the lens I’ve viewed the world through for as long as I can remember. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin, where I first started exploring how design and communication come together. Toward the end of college, I began learning more about UX/UI design through mentors and peers in the industry, and it felt like a natural fit. It blended strategy, storytelling, and creativity in a way that just made sense.
Working at startups have taught me how to build from zero and turn an idea into something real. With no established playbook, I learned to be resourceful and adaptable, problem solving and creating new processes along the way. I learned to advocate for users, for design, and for the processes we needed to make the company succeed. That experience taught me how to make confident decisions, think strategically, and design with both users and business goals in mind.
I’ve also taken on freelance clients in my free time to continue growing as a designer. Those projects have taught me how to manage timelines, communicate with clients, and translate abstract ideas into thoughtful and intentional design. It has given me an appreciation for finding the balance between creativity and clarity and for designing experiences that feel natural and meaningful.
Off the Clock
When I’m not designing, I’m usually recharging through the things that keep me grounded. I love film photography and crafting, finding calm in the process of making something by hand. At home, I’m happiest with my dog, a good book, and my plants. I also co-host a women and non-binary pool club that meets at local dive bars. It has become a space for connection, laughter, and community that I really value.
